CHOOSING A BIBLE
64
I was reading my Bible recently and really exited about what I have been reading (Joshua 1:6-9 for anyone interested) and I realized how much I really like my Bible. I actually purchased it last year and it is the best Bible I have owned. Yes, Bibles can be very different and the different types benefit different folks. I actually heard about the Quest Study Bible after telling one of my best friends that I wanted to really read my word more and not just to read but for understanding. I told her I wanted something simple and easy to read (which for a lot of people the NIV does the job). I also wanted a Bible that would make it easy to find specific scriptures while going through specific issues (good and not so good) in my life.
She suggested I look into purchasing the Quest Study Bible. After doing a lot of research I finally bought the Quest Study Bible and have been so happy with my choice.

The reason I recommend this study Bible to anyone looking for a deeper understanding of God's word is because it is so straight-forward. If offers a wide variety of tools right there in the book that help you do go beyond just reading and teach you how to study and meditate. You will find yourself asking questions and searching for answers. You will find it easy to find help in your time of need in a matter of minutes, if not, seconds. It also helps you work up to understanding all of the "thous", "shalts", and "bestoweths".
I also suggest keeping a journal when you are doing your Bible reading/studying. It is beneficial when you come across certain scriptures, if after reading you still do not understand something, something is placed in your heart that you should remember, when you find an answer you were looking for...etc. Yes, I do keep one...well, I have quite a few (I keep them in different places because i am notorious for forgetting things).
Purchasing this Bible is one of the investments I ever made. I hope that the information provided will be beneficial to you. If you have any further questions or appropriate comments please feel free to respond below and I will get back to you with an answer a.s.a.p.
