Skip the Resolutions This Year!!!

No Time Like the Present!!!
PLEASE NOTE: Anything I write is based on my personal life and experience and things that have worked for me and those I know. THEY ARE NOT LAW…well, unless I actually am writing about laws at some point ;) I am not a fan of telling people what they need to do with their lives and what choices they need to make. Only you can make those decisions. I am a fan, however, of being honest and sharing pieces of my life with others if it can help them in any way possible. I am not a fan of keeping the secrets to goals I have accomplished. I am a fan of sharing those things which have worked for me in any area of my life or those I know with anyone willing to listen!!!
So, I must admit I have been slow on starting my first hub. This is mainly because I enjoy and actually love writing and want to give each article 150% authenticity, relevant and useful resources, and all of ME!!! I still didn't feel ready today but I believe if I don't start today I am allowing myself to live in fear of what may or may not happen. And, I will never get better at this if I don't start somewhere. Anyways, I digress!
This year some of my closest friends and I decided to work on a major transformation this year. We have been talking about it for so long...you know...year after year..."Girlll, this year I am going to lose 30 lbs!", "Girllll, this year I am going to read my word everyday!", "Girllll, this is the year I am going to overcome my struggle with _____________!" Don't act like you haven't had the "New Year's" conversation with your girls before.
Well, this year we decided to take a new approach. This year we ditched the resolutions for ACTION!!! We made a decision about not only what we truly want in life but most importantly what God wants for us in life. We created our own unique individual plans, began taking small steps, and we committed to holding each other accountable. I must say it has truly been a blessing. I am looking forward to everyday I am blessed to see from this point on.
I say all of this to ask you a question “Is there something(s) in your life that you need to stop making resolutions about and start taking action on?” Is there anything that you have been working on for a long period of time now with no success? Is there anything in your life that needs to change…sooner than later? Are you tired of mediocrity in your life and those around you? Well, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!! Decide to stop just wishing and hoping and take action so you can accomplish you goals.
There are two things I would like to share with you! The first is a PowerPoint I put together for my transformation group. I put this together based on research, personal experiences, and the needs of my friends in the group. The presentation is about growing spiritually. I already know someone will look at it and ask “Well, what if I am not Christian?” Well, the great thing about my page is you have options J You can disregard the presentation or if you are really feeling offended for whatever reason you are welcomed to disregard my page all together. You can apply the same tips to whatever you believe. You can pick and choose what is important to you and make it work for you. I focus on God because He is the One who has been there my entire life. I have seen and experienced the way He works. I am alive because of Him. I love talking about Him and I love sharing the things He has done for me with others because honestly I should not be here. Do what works for you!!! Back to what I was saying I have attached the presentation. And, I read a daily devotional by Joyce Meyer today that was right on time. It is about FOCUS!!! We forget how important it is to focus on positive things and those things we are truly destined to do. I would greatly suggest taking the time to read this devotional…no matter who you are or what you believe you can benefit from something in this message.
Welp, my first hub is completed!!! Wow, feels good and makes me excited about so many more coming. I have no idea what the next one will be on but I know they are only going to get more versatile and interesting. I look forward to writing for you in the future. Stop by again soon…and next time bring a friend…FREE ADMISSION!!!

You made a good start with this one, I like your voice and style. Your personality comes through well, it has some humour and good points too. Good job. :)
